From Levante: You hold in your hand a liquid plane ticket to cerulean seas and a tropical breeze—a refreshingly tart southbound escape. Get lost in Margosa—a classic German-style Gose with a twist of citrus peel and a hint of Himalayan salt.
From Me: Pours a slightly cloudy pale orange with a coupla fingers of sudsy foam. Not much in the way of lacing. Smells very citrus-forward. I get tangerines, in particular. Lime pith too. Smells nice, if a bit subdued. Very carbonated. Downright fizzy, in an antacid tablet dissolving in water kinda way. Distractingly so. I'm belching after one sip. Get past all that and you'll find a light, vaguely citrus-y beverage. I say beverage because it doesn't really feel or taste like a beer. The salt level is on point, though, giving things an almost Gatorade-like salinity. Weird beer.
