Hazy apricot color with a low-moderate white head and nice carbonation. Very nice yeasty barnyard aromas with a bit of orange fruit character. Very similar flavors with lots of horsehair character and nice fruitiness. Medium bodied and nicely smooth with a dry barnyard yeasty finish.
Awesome refreshing saison. Please keep it around !
Per E-mail from ODBC: Dominion Saison uses Wyeast 3724 (a knockoff of Saison Dupont) and features all German Malt (10% wheat, 15% Vienna malt, and 75% Weyerman pils). Fermentation took four weeks at 90 degrees.
Note: This review was based on a growler from the OD Brewpub.
Tasted: 10/19/06
($7/growler)
