A light, Belgian-inspired Saison with a special Christmas ingredient.
On a completely organic summer house plot in North Jutland, more precisely between Saltum Church and the beach, we have found a considerable amount of completely fresh Sitka spruce shoots, which we have brewed with. They give a characteristic spicy aroma, which mixes well with notes from the Belgian ale and saison yeast strains used.
Hopped with Motueka and Hallertauer Mittelfrüh.

Copenhagen 22/3 2026. 44 cl can from Best of Beers getting rid of their Christmas beers. Christmas trees in different colors on the can.
Pours unclear - almost opaque - golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as a thin but unbroken layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of malts mingling with a tart and sharp scent. A whiff of pine needles and coriander. Sharp metallic alcohol lurking.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong and a little brutal tart sourness. Aftertaste is sourish and bitter. Lingering. Finish is bone-dry.
Tart and bitter - with a touch of pine.
