Just fine, pretty inoffensive - pale blonde pour with active carbonation. Nose is grassy and lightly citrusy - taste hits on tangerine, lemon zest, grapefruit, and a light grassiness. Not bad, definitely crisp and clean on the finish.

Like having a gallon of bitter hops poured down my gullet. Absolutely disgusting.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance - The beer is served a clear golden amber color with a small head of white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma is strongest of a cracker malt smell mixed with some bready and caramel aromas. Along with these smells comes some pine and grapefruit hop as well as some sweeter fruit smells of orange and apricot.
Taste - The taste starts out as the nose would have anticipated. It begins with a cracker malt flavor with bit of grain. Along with these flavors comes some light sweet fruit flavors of orange and pear. There was also hop flavors of an herbal and pine nature as well. As the taste advanced on the tongue, a grapefruit hop and light caramel and apricot join in. Toward the end, a light hay and more grapefruit also join in, leaving one with a rather easy going, moderately hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel - The body of the brew is medium in thickness with carbonation level that is moderate. Overall, the feel was good for the style as it made for an easy drinking brew.
Overall - A very easy drinking, favorable brew. While nothing too exciting it is a rather nice more session brew.

can dated 01/25/21; today is 2/28/21

pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body with a big bubbled frothy chalk white head that has low retention and leaves large amounts of sticky sudsy lacing as it settles to a bubbly halo around a lightly murky cap

aroma is a fresh and grassy shade of hop, with bright floral citrus and earthy grapefruit with pine in the wings. the malt is honeyed and sticky sweet

taste follows the nose, offering a very lively and bright array of hop profiles. clean grassy, spicy and citrus notes interweave with herbal and earthy bitter notes shaded with pine. the malt is honeyed, chewy, and bready

mouthfeel is high carbonation with a body that is on the lighter side of medium. it goes fairly smooth, with carbo prickles throughout and is somewhat chewy. the finish is dry with a grapefruit earthy hop aftertaste

overall:
this brew is advertised to utilize chinook, cascade, centennial, and crystal hops - and as such, on paper, this brew sounds like it ought to run in a fairly organized, singular direction. what is actually accomplished here is an excited brew that is anything but concentrated. whatever your opinion of the flavor, you must admit that it certainly packs quite a lot of it in a fairly small lane. it's the least piney ale I've had with so many "c-hops" and also manages a chewy, full body while simultaneously coming across as light and bright. it's an interesting entry that manages to stand out a lot for a pale ale.
this may have benefited from a few more tweaks or a foray more solidly into IPA country to let it's legs stretch a bit with such a packed hop bill.

the hoppy beers impressed me least in here, they all had this almost overhopped greenness to them, and that was on display in this one the most, like there are just too many hops in it for them all to assimilate, like it tastes oversaturated, more like pellets than their essences, bold like centennial sure, but just out of whack for me, and anything but refreshing in the hot texas weather, its light in feel but almost chewy in its hop density, a turnoff for sure. it does seem fresh, and the idea of showcasing centennial in a minimal malt context, just a pale barley sort of base and a clear flavor profile of the centennial, but its muddled by just how much of it is in here, and the beer is overrun. its really cool that they donate some of the profits to parks and rec locally in austin, thats a neat mission, but how much of this are they going to sell without cleaning it up a little bit. maybe i am being a little too harsh, but the hoppy types they made here all seemed a little amateur to me. good carbonation and dry, which helps it drink, but the hop burn is real...
