Hazy, dirty gold color. Modest head which leaves a few minor streaks on the glass.

Refreshing floral hop aroma, reminiscent of a Czech pilsner. Good balancing malt base. Light apricot fruitiness.

The body is crisp and made thinner by the high carbonation level. This makes the beer harsher (not pilsner-like at all) and more bitter than expected. Although the finish is hoppy, the watery body makes for a very short aftertaste.

Poured from a growler into a pint glass
Appearance -The brew pours a clear golden amber color with a small head of fizzy white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a caramel and grainy aroma mixed with notes of corn and some pear and apricot. Along with these smells comes notes of yeast and a bit of a earthy hop.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet corn and caramel flavor mixed with a grainy and bready malt flavor. There is a hint of the earthy hop that was in the nose as well as some light flavors of yeast. Other light flavors of apple and pear develop along the way all while the caramel and corn fade a tad. At the end the grain gets more intense and with a bit of increase in the hop as well, one is left with a moderately more sweet, but still balanced taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is moderate. Overall, the feel is OK For the easy natured taste and makes for an easy sipper.
Overall – A decent lager overall. A little on the sweeter and more hopped side, but rather enjoyable in the end.

Medium carbonation with about the same for the body.
Aroma is a nice mix of cereal, grain, malt and what might be the slightest citrus in the background
Taste has a mild sweetness and then cereal, grain and mild, very mid hop bite on the finish.
Really enjoyable to me

I get an urge for this beer, which is made close by, every summer. Nothing fancy about it, but it’s a good solid lager, great on a hot day. I love the head on it, and I don’t think it tastes quite like anything else.

Liked it so much I found this site, joined it and am now writing about this lager. It was served draft cold, real crisp, flavor that does not hang but pulls for more. The color is deepish. No foam. The class was clear after draining it. A lager with a boldness that isn't trying to be an IPA. But, I love lagers. I had a 617 hazy IPA at Fenway a couple of seasons ago and uncharacteristically loved it, for an IPA. Didn't pay attention to Lord Hobo. Now I recommending it.

There's very little to say about this one. It's mostly plain, tasting like most adjunct lagers, if only slightly better. While I would grab this over your typical BMC offering, it's light years away from the best craft lagers of any kind.
