12oz can purchased at Huckleberry's in Spokane. No freshness date. The brewery isn't too far north of Queensryche's point of origin, so perhaps that accounts for the name.

Poured into a Olympia pokal, this was a mostly clear, golden color, with a decent sized white head that left a moderate amount of lace behind.

Soft, grainy aroma, with a little less hop character than I prefer.

Quite malty taste to this, with the malts accompanied by a mild, herbal hoppiness. Less crisp at the finish than most pils of my acquaintance.

Fairly light bodied, with a mouthfeel unlike any pilsener I've had, almost creamy and kinda flabby.

Decent, but not my kind of pilsener. I'd like a little more hop character and some crispness to the mouthfeel. Seems to me they went a little overboard on the grainy side of the style.

12oz can poured into 14oz teku. Poured a hazy straw gold color with a half-inch of white head that had low retention and extremely light lacing.

The aroma featured a nice earthy grain base, with some floral hops. A very slight touch of skunk as well.

Pretty similar on the tongue, nice grains and gentle hops.

The body was light-medium, crisp, and had a pleasantly dry finish.

Drinkability was very nice, it made a for a good drink on a sunny fall afternoon. Overall, a very solid beer, worth trying if you see it.

Pale golden color with a fine-grained foam in the tall Maredsous goblet. Crisp but plenty of malt. It's actually a very substantial mouthfeel with a fruity note. Flowery aroma and a whiff of citrus peel. The hops are bold but not overly bitter.

Grain and hops, it's what made Czechoslovakia great. Even a little salty. There's a pleasant resiny tang with a restrained bitter finish. A hint of raspberries somehow, and the slight seedy astringency. A touch of melon. There seems to be an enthusiasm for Pilsners in Washington lately but this is one of the best ones. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.

I had this beer on-tap in a pilsner glass at the brewery.

Appearance: nice golden hue with just a dash if haze. A thin finger of foam leaves a little lace on the glass.

Smell: very grainy aroma appropriate to the style. It's very much what my wife would call "beery".

Taste: grainy with a nice earthy, noble hop character. Bitterness is mild but works for the style. I like it.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a big carbonation and concomitant creaminess. Very good.

Overall: a good Pilsner. Grainy with a little bite -- good stuff!
