On tap at C'Est What?
Pours a mostly clear light golden yellow, really thick white head forms, settles down to a thick ring, some lacing on the glass, looks alright. Smell is a bit odd, honey and hay, some grass, light citrus and lemon, very subdued and an off aroma I can't place, not very impressive. Taste is similar, wheat and hay, somewhat grassy, some honey sweetness, lightly toast, not bad but very plain. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with medium carbonation, drinkable but doesn't do anything for me.

A: Golden bronze, white head, some retention & lacing.
S: Candied fruit, earthy mineral, slight biscuity malt.
T: Mineral, earthy citrus, light biscuit, citrus rind, good bitterness.
M: Light to moderate body, moderate carbonation, smooth with an off-dry finish.
D: A decent drinker.

Neutral aroma. C'est What Spring Festival cask. Peachy with lots of carbonation bubbles, and lace. Creamy head on yellow. Middle mouthfeel, a bit creamy actually,Neustadt characteristic overall. Boring for the style, lagerish really, but it is drinkable.

I've still not cracked the Neustadt code. In January I loved their 180 - a wonderfully hopped and aged cask lager - and now I'm faced with the 300, a decently hoppy pale ale, a little short of being an IPA.
Pours a nice bright burnished gold with a finger of white head that laced all the way down the glass. Hopped up aroma with a big dose of grapefruit and some pine. Citrusy, surprisingly bitter taste, with a great sweet malt undertone. Its a tough call on whether this is an IPA or an APA, because the sharp grapefruit has a pleasant bite to it. I'm impressed with the fresh feel of this beer. I'm not sure what hops have been picked, but they're very well showcased. Medium body and carbonation is well-suited. It made an excelent drink at the bar, and I could easily have sessioned it.
Neustadt keep on impressing with their new brews, and their solid regular lineup. At this rate they may become my favourite Ontario brewery.
