Hey Gringos! This is exactly what José would blend to make the perfect drink to ease the heat of summer. Can you think of anything more satisfying than a blend of light beer, tequila and lime. We think not.
WARNING! Once you try this there will be no going back. Enjoy every sip!!

Appearance: Poured with a thumb's worth of head that did manage to leave a little bit of lace but didn't stick around. The body is a pale yellow, with a slight greyish hue which I presume is the agave/Tequila part of this beer.
Smell: Grain, lime and agave in that order of strength, and to the degree that you just catch the mild Tequila note when the beer is cold and it gets drowned out as well as most of the lime as the beer warms up. For a light beer, it's not bad on this front and I've had better, but there is some potency here.
Taste: Grain and lime to start us out and that slight barest Tequilla touch hits with the lime in the middle before another hit of grain and presumably mild hops finish things out. There's nothing wrong with it, as it doesn't come across as artificial, but the potency leaves much to be desired, even for a light beer. It comes across as watered down.
Mouthfeel: The carbonation helps out the first note and goes pretty flat, leaving it with a watery texture, which is a shame as I want it to highlight the Tequila. The transitioning is a fine but uninspired journey as the one part that should be unique here just doesn't really make it's presence know. Aftertaste is absent.
Drinkability: This is a summer glug glug lager, and it's pretty clear it advertises it as such. It just leaves me perplexed as to why bother with the Tequilla for this? I mean it does add an interesting note, but for a beer this easy to drink, it strikes me as something that is going to make a guzzler cost a bit much. Anyways, the low carbonation means the absurdly light body settles down well.
Final Thoughts: If I had to sum up this beer in one word, it would be safe. It's like the brewer knew you can in fact mess up limed up lager and you can certainly screw up adding Agave or Tequilla notes (and who knows how they got there) to a beer and opted to go easy on those fronts. Sadly, that makes the interest in the beer depart after the first sip, as there just isn't enough for me to simply seek out a cheaper lager and a lime. It is certainly as advertised, but it just seems not very enthusiastic about being anything more then a guzzler, which is fine is that what that is, but not for four bucks a can. I guess if you want a mildly more interesting sweltering heat lawnmower drinker, this will fit the bill.
