Ale with pineapple, maraschino cherries, vanilla bean, and baking spices. Poured from a can into an Urban Artifact Thoroughbred glass. The pour is very hazy light red -almost pink - and resembles pink grapefruit juice. It sports a thin crown of white foam that quickly dissipates. On the nose I get the cherries along with tart lemon.
Medium-light body with a firm feel. Amazing flavor. The pineapple and cherries are right up front and you get that fruity tartness that is characteristic of this brewer. Then, at mid-palate, the vanilla creeps in and gives just a tough of creamy sweetness. When the vanilla combines with the natural lemon-like flavors from the base sour beer, the result is a flavor reminiscent of pound cake. Combine that with the cherries and the pineapple and it really does remind you of the desert it's named after. The cherries and lemon survive to the back of the palate and linger on the finish.

Total Pepto pink, at full opacity, with a fizzy blanket that quickly dies to nothing, only further emulating that antacid look.
Effervescent and tingly cinnamon accents the more predominant flavor of cherry Pop Tart as tart pineapple and lime complement, but do so far in the background, finishing semi-dry, quickly disappearing from the palate without any chew.
This doesn't have that malt character that breweries like Arkane achieve, which actually enhances that pastry sour element. It's good and will get plenty of interest due to the appearance, but is mostly a tart, easy drinking fruited Berliner-like beer, with a little more ABV.
