The Fall is known for a lot of things: leaves, pumpkins, turkeys, but we are most appreciative for the baked delicacies! This is the "perfect dessert" to finish off your autumn gathering meal. Hints of crumbly baked dough with black raspberry wonder.

Canned 9/29/23
I've enjoyed many of Urban Artifact's "midwest fruit tarts" before, but this is my first time having anything from their small batch series. It's cool that this kind of stuff shows up on Tavour. Let's crack it open and find out what it's all about
Pours a very dark reddish purple with 3 fingers of soapy radiant red head that fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is nicely balanced between the tart fruit and the sweeter notes. I'm picking up on aromas of black raspberry, vanilla bean, lemon zest, earthy cinnamon, toasted pecan, tannic red wine, plum skin, and black cherry
Things are a bit sharper in taste but still shows a great balance. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting tart raspberry, lime zest, vanilla ice cream, earthy cinnamon, doughy malt, tannic red wine, and black cherry. The swallow brings notes of black raspberry, vanilla bean, plum skin, lime zest, tannic red wine, toasted pecan, black cherry, and light doughy malt
A light medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a sharp beer. Finishes mostly dry with a nice tartness
Another win from Urban Artifact. Maybe I need more of their small batch series

16 ounce can, date is smudged but looks it says canned on 10/9/23. Served in an Urban Artifact chalice, the beer pours a dark reddish/purple color with about an inch reddish/purple head that stuck around a little while. Decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma a lot, the brew smells like black raspberries, berry jam, cinnamon, vanilla and some oats. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma to me. Really does remind me of a black raspberry cobbler, although with some tartness too. Nice balance between the tart and sweet flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and easy enough to drink. I liked this brew a lot, Urban Artifact did a great job with this one. Hope this is one that they decide to ramp up production for in the future and make it a regular brew!
