16 ounce can, no canning date I noticed but pretty sure this was canned over the last week or 2 as it's one of the Small Batch Society releases for November 2023. Served in a Urban Artifact chalice, the beer pours a dark reddish/purple color with not quite an inch light purple head that stuck around a while. Good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like black currants/dark fruit, vanilla, cream and some oranges. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some almond/nutty flavors. I think the black currant stands out in both the taste and aroma, but the other flavors come out more as the beer warms. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, recommended especially if you like black currants!
