First I will mention that I don't prefer wheat beers. I find them bland and uninteresting. This on the hand, was a treat, although one I wouldn't want too often.
The look is inviting, cloudy and pale yellow. The smell is richly infused with berries, although I couldn't tell you what kind for sure. Perhaps a raspberry if I were to guess. You can smell it from a ways away too, quite potent.
Taste hints at the berry flavor, but not as strongly as the smell does. Wheat texture is pleasing and reasonably thick. Unfortunatley, although reasoanbly good, the fruit flavor is artifical to my tastebuds.
All in all, a bit artificial but reasonably refreshing. I would rccomend it to a wheat beer drinker but for the rest of us, a sampler glass will suffice.

Ok spotted this one on a back shelf in Albertsons 12 oz brown bottle.Label similar to the Amber Wheaten but purple.
This is an ok beer to look at ,unfiltered orange.with a massive pure white creamy head..that seems to stay for ever.
The nose is quite "yeasty", with fruity undertones, mostly blackcurrant..unsual dont see much of anything with blackcurrant in America.
MM this is not too bad at all to taste the blackcurrant is really well done and does not overwhelm the wheat flavours.Infact its a good balance for a fruit flavoured beer.
The mouthfeel however is too watery..could use a little more body.
All in all an ok take on American wheat beer..but the mouthfeel spoiled it for me , average drinkability.

An all around average beer from Pyramid. There second 20th anniversary wheaten is a berry wheaten. The smell is strong of raspberries and hints of huckleberry, the wheat smell is bready almost toast like, slight caramel malt detected. The taste is a slight berry taste up front with wheat grain following, the berry is light and almost to faint, the wheat overpowers the berry and I didn't like that, not the greatest of combos. Decent effort but just average at best.
