Bottle provided by a co-worker this late Friday evening. Thanks much! Enjoy by 093004 B145. Uhm is that *last* year? I may delete this review if the rating isn't in line with scores from other reviews. Pours a one finger nearly white head over a light pee colored liquid. Smells malty sweet. Pils malt, tin hops (Saaz, probably) and a hint of oranges in the hops, too. Tastes rich pils malty with moderate hop flavor and mild hop bitter. A hint of tannin, which could be me mistaking a hint of munich or toasted malt. Hop flavor has an easiness about it, yet still a touch of orange sourish. Interesting and not quite what I was expecting from a pils. Md-light body and moderately carbonated.

Relatives picked this up at Costco prior to going to the beach house they rented.
Appearance: beautiful. Golden. Very thick lacing in my plastic cup.
Smell: Not good. Corn. Since this is fresh from Costco, this shouldn't be a problem. It is.
Taste: corn. Must be a quality control issue.
Mouthfeel: all is well and good.
Drinkability: make the corn stop.
If this is an isolated issue, I could be persuaded to try this again. More likely, at their Walnut Creek brewpub instead of the bottle.

Ive been struggling to finish a 6er of this brew, largely due to the fact that I find it a terribly boring beer.
Not offensive or bad necessarily... just extremely boring.
Appearance: Pours a dark yellow almost burnt orange color.... very little head, even with a strong pour. Zero head retention after 5 seconds.
Smell: Coppery, boring
Taste: Shrug.. tastes like PBR to me... maybe a bit more floral in the front end, but certainly not much. A healthy whallop of maltiness comes through on the finish. Nothing special.
Mouthfeel: Crisp and clean, as I'd expect from a lighter brew.
Drinkability: Could I drink alot of these? If I was in a tight spot, yes... but would I prefer this over PBR... not particularly.
Nothing great here.... extremely mediocre brew... I wouldnt really advise purchasing it unless you just feel the sheer need to try a beer youve never had before. That being said, its not a terrible beer either... just dont expect anything impressive.

12oz bottle bought at Huckleberry's in Spokane for $1.09.
Poured a transparent gold color, with a big, fizzy white head. While the head dropped somewhat quickly, a foaminess remained perched atop the beer.
Smell was of floral hops that were akin to freshly cut grass. There was also a mild, biscuity maltiness.
Taste was similar to the smell, but somehow less interesting. The mild floral hoppiness is not much in evidence in this category. There's mostly the biscuity maltiness, and also a slight citrus flavor just before the swallow, which was pleasingly dry. Not as crisp & tasty as a fresh authentic German example. Nevertheless, it runs rings around typical American pale lagers. It's just not as interesting as the nose led me to believe.
This had the typical thin, refreshing mouthfeel of a pilsner. Nothing wrong here.
This is decent session pils. Is it truly a great beer? Not really. Yet
it would be one to remember come grilling season, which is almost upon us.

Presentation: 12 oz short bottle with freshness date printed on the label. Short blurb about the beer on the neck.
Appearance: Poured golden with a very slight haze. Tight white head of medium size. Faded to leave very little lacing.
Smell: Floral aroma - slight citrus notes.
Taste: Very crisp and refreshing. Medium bodied with a good level of carbonation. Mainly citrus flavors with a slight bread taste. Not many hops until the finish - very slightly dry, bitter aftertaste.
Overall Impressions: This one was slightly past the enjoy by date which resulted in the six pack being dirt cheap! Despite this it was a nice tasty pils that was very drinkable.

I am tired of writing the following line: This pours like a macro. A nice, tight head earn it some points, though.
Smells like citrus and spice. There's a harsh zip of wheat in there, too.
Tastes almost nothing like it smells. Solid, simple base of malt disolving into simple, bitter hops. Dry at the end. Very clean. Refreshing.

Consumed in October 2004 from a 12 oz bottle purchased from the local gc. Reminds me of most Pyramid beers. Not impressed with this one at all. Poured and looked decent, but had that musty smell that I am familiar with on most Pyramid brews. Has decent amounts of wheat and maybe some citrus in the scent. Has good carbonation, but has that musty taste too it also. Still had two months left on the expiration, so I doubt a real fresh one would taste much different. Just not a real fan of this beer. Was hoping for much more.

This poured to a bright and crisp gold color with a little bit of head and minor lace. It looks decent.
The smell seems off. It's much more potent and offensive than it should be. The taste isn't too bad, but isn't all that much better than macro swill. Mouthfeel and drinkability posses similar attributes.

I picked this lager over the ale's offered, due to the miserable heat wave here in no. Cal. It was an appropriate choice. Pale gold color was topped by a nice white head. Extensive lacing adorned the glass. Saaz hops seemed to be prominent with good malt base. A nice refreshing beer. Nothing spectacular but very acceptable when in the mood for this style.

Pours a golden color with a nice white head, and lots of carbonation.
Lots of citrus and hop smells here, with a slight grainyness, almost smells like wheat.
Taste is clean and crisp. There is a nice fruitiness to counteract the hop bite. Though i would have liked to have seen more hop bitterness to the beer.
The mouthfeel is a little thin, slightly on the watery side.
Overall this is a good beer, nice and refreshing, just not too complex.

Pours a very hazy golden brew.
Smell is sweet and grainy with a distinct lemon and peach scent.
Taste is a bit sweet with a fair amount of bitterness to it. There is a bit of wheat taste to this and it does resemble a wheat beer a bit, including that slight lemon taste.
Mouthfeel is OK.
A refreshing drinkable brew, not real great but it isn't bad either. The bitter finish gets stronger as you drink it.

This brew is a hazy golden colored brew, small white head on the top, some carbonation bubbles rising up. Sweet nose, lighly floral. Smooth malty taste, medium bodied. Crisp clean feel. Some hop presence. Dry aftertaste. Refreshing. Not a bad beer, worth a shot.

Appearance: yellow, white, foamy head, staying power was weak
Smell: faint grassy, planty profile, little or no malt/yeast smell
Taste: aggressive bitterness immediately, hop bitterness outweighs hop floral/spice aspects. Just bitter.
Mouthfeel: Appropriate, if a little "Bud" like
Drinkablility: Probably better if tasted alone, but I tasted it against some smooth lagers with a more balanced malt/hop profile

Enjoy by 1/16/04 printed on the bottle.
Were over a month overdue on this one. It seems like I roused up some yeast in the bottle. This poured out a cloudy and pale yellow. The aroma tends to be a bit musty and has a sour graininess. The taste is light, fruity and flavorful. Low in bitterness and lacks that crisp German pilsner snap to it. Light to medium body of sweet malts and finishes a bit fruity. Ok. Drinkable, but nothing that special. A fresher example might increase the enjoyment.

Appearance: Pours a clear golden color. Head started out big, sticky, and white in color. Now after a few sips, the head is a thin layer of foam which is leaving a surprising amount of lacing on my glass.
Smell: is a floral hop aroma with a hint of spiciness underneath it.
Taste: What I taste most is a slightly bitter hoppy taste. There's just a bit of a grainy taste.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, dry, finish is very clean. Alcohol feels about right for its ABV%
Drinkability: Not overly hoppy. This is a pretty good beer, I eat quite a bit of cheese, and this beer is going very well with some extra sharp cheddar. Would make a fair session beer.

Im not sure what style this brew exactly is. The label claimed to be a Pilsner, BA says Pale, and the taste was somewhat in between. I guess it doesn't really matter though. If it tastes good, it tastes good.
Color is golden and light and head is large, white, and short lived. Aroma is bready and offers a light weak hop tickle. Flavor is much the same but creamy like flavors show up in taste as well as mouthfeel. One could drink it but assuming that one would have something else around theyd probably choose something else. Its not bad, not good, just average.

A clear, golden body topped by a decent white head that dissipates quickly and leaves little lace. The nose is of light malting and perhaps a small sense of citrus hops. The taste is decent though not impressive. Clean, crisp finish from a light mouthfeel. Reasonable carbonation and average drinkability.
