I don't know if this is the same beer that had been discontinued in 2009 ... but the Saison is back with a vengeance for the spring of 2014 !!! This one is the Strawberry Blonde Saison and it is quite refreshing, has a nice tart 'citrus' Meyer lemon taste that overpowers most other flavors (with the exception of the slight bitter/hops flavors) ... and a kick to it with a 5.8% ALC. Very light carbonation, which I found it easy to drink and to my liking, almost like a thick wine with a slight fizzy mouth feel.
It's color a cloudy honey-brown color which had a slight orange tint to it. I found it quite enjoyable to drink, but don't know if I could drink many of them 'back-to-back' because of the tartness, although it's not all that sour, but some my not like that in a beer. This is a beer that will act as a 'palate cleanser' after a good B-B-Q or a heavy meal, or just something to 'mix it up' in-between your regular brand of the afternoon or evening ... or just by itself on a hot sunny day outdoors. Most likely limited to the spring of 2014. Try it if you can find it !!!

Had on-tap at Pyramid Alehouse across the street from Safeco Field. Consumed on 05/08/09.
Came served in a pint glass. Color is a wholly cloudy yellow that looks pretty unimpressive. It smells fresh and sweet with a slight hint of spice and peach. The taste doesn't strongly reflect the smell, unfortunately, and while bearable, it delivers slight hints of coriander, light citrus and hops that do nothing more than act faint. It tasted a little murky, much like it looked. Regardless, it was light enough that I could session it if nothing else was on tap.
