On tap:
Maybe a bad tap, but more orange than yellow, ruddy than cloudy, and a hardly-there head. Looks more like a light cider.
Nose has the spice and light banana of the style, but also an bittersweet apple note.
Taste follows with the apple leading more than it should. The spice comes in back and tries to get back on track, but the banana note struggles to catch the back of the tongue. A little thin and with a little too prickly carbonation - not soft or smooth in any fashion to me.
Overall, this is drinkable as a malt beverage, and has some of the aspects of a Hefeweizen, but just doesn’t bring home the full experience. The feel and missing head are the biggest disappointments.
