L: Had this beer on-tap at Big Daddy's, poured into a pint glass. Had a bright amber color and a mostly clear consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Solid lacing.
S: A pretty good, but not spectacular, aroma of malt, an herbal quality, pine, and some spices.
T: Tasted of a good amount of the herbal quality (heather, in particular; kind of lingers around), a lot of malt (the dominant ingredient), a tinge of pine (gives it a nice bite), and a bit of spice. An interesting, but somewhat uneven, flavor. It's quite malty, but some of the other ingredients need some oomph.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An interesting experiment of a beer that doesn't always work. Still, worth a try.
