At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL, from my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. My seventh beer from the Whitby, Ontario brewery, and first for 2025.

A-Jet black with a Coca Cola brown hue, gives way to a fluffy mocha head and good lacing
S-Aroma is feint milk chocolate with roasted malt and prunes
M-Light on the body, low end carbonation and absent mouthfeel
T-Sweet upfront with a subtle bitter aftertaste. Little chocolate and some lactic sweetness.
O-I enjoyed this beer quite a bit on a cool October in Canada…hit the spot for the coming winter transition…

473 mL can from the LCBO; coded 202-3 2245 and served slightly chilled.
Pours inky black - basically opaque, but with burgundy highlights under a bright light. Two inches of puffy, foamy, billowing tan head rises quickly from the surface, subsiding in a little over five minutes' time. It leaves behind beautiful, spidery lacing, as well as a creamy collar and patchy cap - just gorgeous. Moderate roast on the nose, with hints of smoke, baker's chocolate and chocolate milk, in that order. Not bad, I suppose I was just expecting more chocolate.
This is a well-made stout, but I'm getting more of a dark chocolate vibe vs. a milk chocolate one. Baker's chocolate, lactose and roasted grains at first, with semi-sweet dark chocolate by mid-sip. Smoke and hints of milk chocolate on the back end, with more semi-sweet chocolate lingering into a persistent aftertaste. Medium in body, with moderately active carbonation, which adds a gentle crispness to this brew's smooth, satisfying texture. Great drinkability, in that I could feasibly enjoy a couple of these in a row.
Final Grade: 3.72, a B grade. Milk Chocolate Stout is a solid stout - I'm just not sure it really nails the 'milk chocolate' theme it was going for, so I can't give it full points. Also, while you can definitely consider this a milk stout, I would not describe it as an especially 'sweet' one, having more in common with classic milk stouts from the UK, rather than the (often confectionery-like) North American style. I am all for that, but if you were hoping for a beer that reminds you of milk chocolate, then this might not quite scratch the itch. Still worth a try: this is one Brock Street beer I'll be returning to for sure.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase.
Appearance - Dark brown nearly black. Two fingers of tan head and very good staying power.
Smell - A little dark chocolate, some roasty notes underneath and layered in some milk chocolate. not the most robust nose.
Taste - Semi sweet, some dark chocolate, roasted malts and a little sweetness. A layer of smoke comes in and adds depth. Sweetness elevates a bit after a few sips and as the beer warms.
Mouthfeel - Medium -full in body, a bit of astringent carbonation up front that smooths out into something more velvety on the back end.
Overall - Maybe not quite sweet enough to be a milk stout, but the layer of smoke in the flavor makes up for that. Good beer for whatever you decide to call it.,

Look: Dark brown almost black with a tightly bubbled tawny 2 fingered head. After 5 minutes the head is still 1/3 a finger strong with decent lacing.
Smell: Chocolate milk powder (Nestle Quik).
Taste: Moderately sweet milk chocolate, with a hint of green pepper and leather.
Feel: Light to medium bodied.
A good milk stout. There are other better milk stouts on offer in Ontario, but I would pick this up again. It earns a solid B.
