473 mL can from the LCBO; no apparent canning date. Served slightly chilled.
Pours a hazy, effervescent golden colour, producing more than a finger of frothy, soapy white head that settles off within the next couple of minutes. It leaves behind a fine coat of lacing, as well as a fat, foamy collar encircling a thin cap - it's a very attractive glass of beer, but the aroma is comparatively muted. I'm getting grapefruit pith, berries, floral hops and spiciness, with maybe a touch of cereal graininess.
A very light session pale ale - it tastes of lemon-lime and white grapefruit with hints of crackery pale malts and melon rind. Slightly floral and earthy towards the tail end of the sip, with some pithy, spicy bitterness persisting into a slightly astringent aftertaste. Light-ish in body, with middling carbonation levels that give a little bit of a bite to this brew's smooth, somewhat thin mouthfeel. I finished my glass easily enough, but I think I'd pass on another.
Final Grade: 3.49, a B-. Brock Street's New England Session IPA is a borderline serviceable session ale, but if they were really aiming for a NEIPA then I'd say this mostly misses the mark. It's not especially fruity, it's definitely not juicy, and it's also a little too bitter - the last of which would be just fine for any other kind of IPA, but I do need to grade to style. On the plus side, it's fairly flavourful for something that logs in at under 4%, and most hopheads should find it tolerable and/or inoffensive. Worth a tick I suppose, but not something I'm inclined to highly recommend to other BAs.

Pours a nice lighter shade of gold, with a reasonable head. The smell is hoppy and bitter as expected. The taste however is of soap. Extremely off-putting, undrinkable. Unfortunately this one went down the sink. I don’t like a lot of NEIPAs, but at least others taste like beer
