473 mL can from the LCBO; coded 339-340 2133 and served barely chilled. Tried their craft light lager last week, then this one popped up a day or two later.
Pours a foggy pale straw yellow colour, stirring up one finger of loose, soapy white foam that disintegrates within a minute or so. A tight collar of creamy suds remains, but not much else - no cap, scant lace. It smells of cereal grains and lime zest, with a hint of corn pops.
I'm not enthralled, but it's objectively one of the better light lime beers I've had over the years: the underlying craft lager provides a tad bit more flavour vs. the average macro equivalent. Faint earthiness at the forefront, with prominent lime juice - hints of grainy malts and cereal sweetness as well, but the lime is firmly in the, uh, limelight. Lime zest lingers into the aftertaste, becoming more of a dry, pithy note over time. Light in body, with zippy, aggressive carbonation that remains prickly and coarse throughout the session, giving this light lager a palate-scrubbing quality that I can see helping with greasy/salty pub foods, or Mexican cuisine. Crushable.
Final Grade: 3.5, barely a B grade. Brock Street's Lime Light Lager is alright - I could see it really hitting the spot if you're parched in the back yard, or if you need to wash down something spicy. Marginally better than their craft light lager, but it's possible I only feel that way due to my affinity for lime flavoured beverages in general. Any BAs who have enjoyed light lime beers in the past should consider this worth a try, at the very least. I'd buy it again... or at least, I would if I consumed light beers on a regular basis.

Pours a straw colour, large dense head, visible bubbles rising to the top. Tart lime on the smell. The taste is much the same, copious amounts of sour lime flavour, definitely a lime beer. I questioned myself on the first sip whether this was in fact a sour beer. Aggressively carbonated
