Decanted from a 32 oz crowler purchased at the brewery 9 days ago into a conical pint glass.
A: Straw/amber with a slightly pink tinge. Very lively, three-quarter inch head formation with modest persistence and little lacing.
S: Aromas of pitted to tropical fruits (peach, apricot, mango) overlying malty sweetness.
T: Tastes of biscuit, cracked grain, and wet hay; slightly spicy (clove, maybe coriander) without too much bitterness. Slight metallic aftertaste at first, but less so as warms. Much drier tasting than nose would suggest.
M: Light bodied with solidly persistent effervescence. Drinks more smoothly as warms.
O: Really changes a bit as it warmed. Solid fruity bouquet up front, but rather strong vegetable flavor at that time. As warmed, nose dissipated, but flavor mellowed. Interesting, drinkable, not necessarily my personal "cup of tea."
