On draft enroute to Berlin... 1 last jersey beer with a glass of milk, best sleeping pill ever.
A)Pours a beautiful, dark, old blood red-bronze color, transparent that sprouts a tan creamy, frothy head that has modest retention and lace.
S) As with all reds it smells of malt, caramel, and cola with toffee notes and a bit of flowery hops.
T) Follows smell and with red ales we get caramel malt first then the hops. Toasty, complex, with toffee and caramel, then leaning into citric and floral hop. Aroma and taste better at cask temperature. Reminds me of an upgrade of my first craft love - Red Tail Ale.
F) Clean, balanced, slightly sweet, light and easy to match with most grilled foods or sauces.
o) Noble Jersey effort. We try harder.
