An American barleywine aged in rye whiskey barrels.
Deep amber/light red in color with a small, off-white head. Aroma is excellent with strong notes of citrus, caramel, vanilla, and toffee. I kept being drawn back to the glass to get another sniff. Rich malt sweetness in the flavor balanced by strong hops and a pleasant barrel character. Medium-full bodied. A bold, flavorful barleywine that's perfect for slow-sipping. I'd be happy to have it again.
