Dark amber hues, fluffy head and lacing. Slight floral, citrusy, bready scents. Taste of citrus tang, rye malt, slight bitterness. Crisp, clean, light to medium bodied, mildly mouth watering. Better than the rating.

Canned 10/27/20; drank 10/30/20 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dull copper appearance.
A violent pour yielded a big khaki head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Dry rye, mild honey & spring water notes in the nose.
Sticky medium mouthfeel.
Rye, mild honey & dry pine flavors.
Not my flavor profile, by a long shot; it's drinkable but mildly abrasive. Not awful, but not one I'll return to.

This beer pours a hazy orange amber color with an offensively huge light khaki colored head. Not an aggressive pour by any means and the head was 6 fingers high and sticks around forever. There are many nice webbed sheets of lacing too. Smell is very subtle. A slight mix of earthy, floral, dankness and bread malt. Taste is the same, but heavier on the malt taste than any of the hops. Feel is light and very watery. Overall an OK beer, but I prefer hoppy red IPAs and the feel was not good at all.

16 fl oz. can, no freshness information present. My first beer from South Loop Brewing Company, acquired the 4pk from the local Binny's. Intriguing can art, and of course a modest 6.66% abv. #satan
Poured into a Duvel tulip snifter glass.
A - Pours a nice garnet red body, semi-cloudy with slow rising carbonation, and two fingers of fluffy airy beige foam. Leaves lots of big fluffy lacing behind on the glass. Looks pretty nice for what it is.
S - Aroma doesn't really offer up much, though it's not offensive. Bready & doughy yeast with minor malt & herbal / grassy hops. Hops don't offer up any pine, resin, or grapefruit. Below average intensity, but it's not bad.
T - Taste follows the nose: more malty & yeasty than anything. Bready, with subtle dry rye notes. The yeast strain used is nice. Somewhat bitter, but not piney, resinous, fruity, or overly hoppy.
M - The feel is smooth & crisp. Carbonation is alright, but could perhaps benefit from slight tweaking. Smooth drinking, semi-dry finish. Bready.
Overall, not a bad introduction from South Loop Brewing, but probably not something I would pick up again. Would be interesting to try more from this brewery!
