Copenhagen 4/2 2026. 47,3 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. Simple black cn stating the name of the beer in a growing font.
Pours opaque hazy golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable. Settles as an uneven layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet slightly fermented odor of overripe tropical fruits mingling with a more subtle citric scent. Passion fruit and mango. Pineapple. Hint odf decay, Lemon and lime.
Light carbonation Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture Close to being a bit fizzy.
Flavor is fairly intense with a rather intense sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Potent and slightly fermented. "Dun" indeed.

Cloudy, pale orange in color. White frothy head. Nose is grapefruit and strongly so. Taste is same with tropical notes. Minor bitterness across palate could use more.

16 oz can pkgd date 9/3/2025
Hazy straw gold, one finger fine white head. Full curtain lacing, surface continents, no floaties or visible sediment.
Pine, pineapple, melon, tangerine aromas.
I tasted orange, cantaloupe, pineapple, all the fruits.
Smooth, medium mouthfeel, light bitter finish, no alcohol heat.
Very enjoyable, equal in quality to any NEIPA I have experienced.

This almost redefines what I find most appealing in so-called juicy IPAs: A magnificent bouquet of citrusy and peachy aroma, along with an attractive cloudy and substantive appearance. I wanted to savor it like I would do to expensive bourbon, but it’s so refreshing that I couldn’t wait for the next swallow. I’m really impressed by Hop Butcher for the World. I wonder how Carl Sandburg would characterize them?

10/12/24 - (Can - Home) (Chicago, IL) Can Notes: Purchased refrigerated July 17, 2024 at The Beer Temple (four pack $16.53 with tax). 16 oz canned July 1, 2024 @ 12:22:30 PM, Can Stamp: Are We Having Fun Yet?. Refrigerated until pulling this afternoon. 7.5% ABV. Amarillo, Citra & Galaxy - Hopped Double India Pale Ale. Tasting Notes: White Peach, Orange Blossom and Musky Tropical Fruit. Artwork by Dan Garza. Brewed and canned by Hop Butcher For The World in Chicago and Bedford Park, Illinois.
Appearance: Poured 2/3 of the can into a Hop Butcher branded Teku glass. Darker than normal orange juice color, generous creamy white head leaves nominal soapy lacing and a razor thin cover over the base. Fine tiny bubbles the only evidence of carbonation through the murky opaque base. 4.0
Aroma: Peach leads, very sweet, with citrus backing. Strong on all counts. 4.25
Taste: Very sweet citrus and peach counterbalanced by a non-descript bitterness. Pineapple as well. Sweet tropical fruit medley. 3.75
Mouthfeel: Thin light fizzy carbonation consistent throughout. Stronger than ABV / style, hits me right away. Sweet overall, but bitterness there, just not strong enough to counter. Pineapple citrus finish. 4.0
Overall: Not sure if age impacted, but solid offering from Hop Butcher For The World. Strong sweet flavors, not sure if lactose is involved. They tried balancing hop bitterness, but still too sweet for my personal liking. Still glad I tried and will try another single draft or can to see if results are significantly different to revisit. 4.0
