Milkshake ipa.
Looks like a strawberry smoothly.
Thiccc, berry bountiful.
Hard to believe this is an ipa though.
Enjoyed a fresh pour direct from the tap at their Chicago brewpub.

This is a milkshake Double India Pale Ale that is made with Lactose, Vanilla and Cherry. it uses Citra and Strata hops. I liked this one as it wan not overly done. The cherry and vanilla were present but not dominate. It had some earthiness to it which helped offset the sweetness. Nicely done.

Canned 5/27/20; drank 5/29/20 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange/pink appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small white head; frothy lace.
Dark cherry, vanilla & mild earth-y notes in the nose.
Creamy, medium thick mouthfeel.
Dark cherry, vanilla, mild fresh earth & a faintly tart finish; this is interesting, but perhaps best split with a friend. Bold but good.

16 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Had 2/11/19.
Pours a hazy reddish pink, with a one inch foamy head and a good amount of slick, foamy lacing. The aroma starts with lots of vanilla, then some bright citrus, a fruity aroma that I couldn’t say was cherry for sure, light malt. The flavor also starts with lots of vanilla, then malt, a good amount of citrus up front, a fruity flavor that again, I couldn’t really identify as cherry, some earthy hop bitterness. It’s a little dank and has kind of a tang to it. Smooth, a solid lighter body, well carbonated.
For some reason, I couldn’t put a finger on what should be cherries. But whatever the non- citrus flavor and aroma was, it stands out and is good. The rest is a winner, with the big vanilla and the citrus hops. Felt like there was a good amount of lactose in here, but it’s not mentioned. Very enjoyable, would buy again.

Poured into a 13 oz Funk Brewing Teku glass not sure when it was canned. Pours a very attractive cloudy red raspberry with a 2 finger white head, with hints of pink and leaves very nice thin lines of lace as it slowly settles. 4.75
Smell one dimensional and simply wonderful. Cherry, vanilla, guava, pineapple, and grapefruit rind. 4.25
Taste follows cherry, vanilla, guava, and pineapple little to no bitterness but so crazy tasty. 4.5
Mouthfeel is big, soft gentle carbonation, maybe a little sticky but not dry, and at 7.5% ABV extremely drinkable. 4.5
Overall I am a sucker for this style and I love the flavors in this one. Really a treat. 4.5

So it sure is ugly. Cherry colored dishwater perhaps comes to mind? But with the fruit in it, I don’t know how you can make it look like an appealing beer. The smell is vanilla first, then hints of cherry. Unlike Blazed or Double Blazed Orange, the vanilla is much more prominent. Tastewise as well, the vanilla seems more prominent than the cherry. I don’t taste the 7.5% abv at all. Very creamy mouthfeel which I love. Overall it’s not Blazed Orange level but it’s pretty good. They have their milkshakes down!

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on February 6, 2019. Citra and Strata hopped milkshake double IPA brewed with Lactose, Vanilla and Cherry. Big sweetened cherry flavor.
