Hazy pineapple/OJ. Tropical and citrusy hop aroma and flavor with earthy undertones; Simcoe outweighs the Vic Secret. OK balance with light bitterness. Medium bodied and smooth.

Good strong Hazy IPA. Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass, this beer features a hazy gold color, a big foamy white head (on a hard pour) and lots of thick bands of lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste include lots of pineapple and some tropical fruit as well s a floral and tropical fruit aroma. Bitterness level is good for a Hazy style IPA. Mouthfeel wasvcrisp and nicely bitter. A well-crafted beer.

Canned 4/12. Cloudy gold, fluffy head and lacing. Smell is piney and lemony, a bit malty. Taste is malty, slightly zesty lemon, bit of piney bitterness. Mouth watering, crisp, clean, light bodied.

Another steller offering from HP. It looks gorgeous. Better than most of their IPAs and as good as the best from Trillium. Some of their DIPAs have started to taste too much alike for me,but this one has a more unique sweet flavor that I really appreciate. I'll have to remember that Vic Secret and Simcoe hops are something I like. Worth picking up again for sure.

16oz can, dated 04.04.2020, poured into a 16oz tumbler glass.
The beer pours a very hazy and turbid golden orange color, amber hues with a firm finger of white head that dissipates quickly leaving large swatches of sticky lacing. The aroma is pleasant, tangy and tropical, a bit fruity, dank and grassy with some more stinky cat pee and a sweet biscuit malt and yeast backbone. The flavors really kick into gear, grassy and dank, earthy with some bitter pine, a bit of cat pee but a big burst of tropical pineapple and valencia orange, a bit of soft melon and a floral quality that has some fresh berry aspects to it with a soft pillowy and doughy malt base and a touch of sweet yeast. The mouthfeel is good, heavier medium body, thick and coating with a hearty finish.
Verdict: A nice NEIPA from Hop Butcher. It's bright and juicy and offers some more unusual and interesting flavors than the typical floral/tropical/sweet beers that are the hallmark of the style.
