Deeper Dish coming through from the red hot Hop Butcher. No pizza variants here. This is one of their highest rated and it is very good. It is thick and has a piney resin to it that IPA lovers yearn for. I'd order this again.

Dark opaque orange, thin layer of foam, some delicate arcs of lacing. Harsh fusel alcohol obscures any subtlety in the aroma. Faintly sweet, mild resin, eucalyptus, fruit cocktail, ultimately just harsh and not really appealing. Boozy and bitter, grapefruit rind, resinous dry bitter aftertaste with some greenery lingering. Full bodied and boozy, no attempt to conceal the booze here. Overall it’s not bad, but one and done for me. Thanks to Bill for this one!

Message on bottom “RIP Jerry Stiller” which is nice to see for a loved comedian. Like all HB IPAs, the mouthfeel is superb for me. They always look so nice and soft with the carbonation that sticks a bit. Aroma wise I can smell the alcohol more than their usual beers. I can taste it too. It’s not overpowering as some triples can be, but it is different and you have to expect it to appreciate it I think. It goes down very easily and I think that speaks to the balance of the hops and sweetness being done well. I recommend it highly if you like the triple IPAs. Wish I could drink it next to a fresh Tavern Cut to see the difference. Maybe one day they’ll release it like that.

I let this one sit about 10 days before trying as I was told it was a little green. But boy was this one good. Possibly my favorite Hop Butcher beer. It was juicy and bright and had a nice bitterness to it. Tons of grapefruit and orange on the nose and in the taste. It was hoppy and sweet up front and the bitterness balanced it out perfectly. The alcohol was so well hidden that I had to stop myself from downing it too quickly. Great beer

16oz can, dated 05.12.2020, poured into a stemless wine glass.

The beer pours a very hazy and turbid amber color, orange and copper hues with touches of gold and a foamy white head, good retention and lots of sticky lacing. The aroma is very nice, strong tropical fruits, lots of orange and mango, quite floral which brings out the more dank and grassy elements while there is a nice graininess with a touch of fusel alcohol. The flavors are very nice, loads of tropical fruits, dank grassy green hop, very nice raw hop leaf, bitter and piney with a bright floral character that compliments the citrus and tropical elements while a soft pale dough washes the palate. The mouthfeel is good, coating yet lively medium body, a touch on the heavier side that is crisp and playful with a finish that is warm, bitter and quite dry.

Verdict: A very nice TIPA from Hop Butcher. I wasn't sure what to expect going into this one given the high ABV, hazy nature and my fondness for Tavern Cut, but it's delivered on all fronts. Bright, juicy, fresh, bitter and the alcohol really only becomes abrasive in the aroma.

Canned 5/12/20; drank 5/14/20 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dull orange/yellow appearance.

A violent pour yielded a nice off-white head; frothy tree-rung lace.

Orange peel, green onion & mild cream notes in the nose.

Creamy medium thick mouthfeel.

Orange peel, green onion & cram flavors; booze heat emerged as this warmed.

Drinkable, but a bit off with that green onion note. Not one to track down.
