Hazy dark yellow with a white head that fades into a ring with pretty lacing. Smells like a fruity tropical drink: banana coconut pie with pineapple garnish and strawberry purée, vanilla rounds out. Taste is way less vibrant: banana, coconut and pineapple lead but in a muted sense, strawberry and vanilla sugar are adds in, slight hop burn on the finish as it warms. Still, a nice tasting tropical drink milkshake IPA. Feel is bright, sweet, juicy, and thin in the creaminess

This was a very flavorful one from Hop Butcher. Lots of coconut on the nose. The taste started out with pineapple then strawberry and banana. Lot of heavy sweetness up front. The coconut came through at the end along with some hops that helped balance out the sweetness. I'm glad I split this one because of the fact it was a milkshake and it was overly sweet.

Pours a full haze dark orange color with two fingers of an off-white head that has great retention.

Aroma is definite tropical vibes. Dole pineapple tidbits, coconut cream pie, ripe strawberry, whipped cream. Coconut presence is big and almost has that suntan lotion thing going on, but manages to barely stay authentic. No banana or hop presence detected.

Taste is like a pina colada. Creamy coconut and crushed pineapple all day. Strawberry is present in the background. That classic Hop Butcher creamy vanilla is there, but not as prominent due to the other adjuncts being so forward and melds into the coconut presence more than anything. Not really any banana or hop presence.

High medium body. Creamy, soft, silky, sticky, oily, slightly chalky.

To me, this is almost identical to their Old School Hawaii Vibes milkshake DIPA, with the huge pineapple and coconut. The strawberry adds something slightly different though. Wish the banana and vanilla were more prominent and that there was room for some hop character. This seems a bit disjointed compared to other milkshakes by them. Still quite enjoyable though.

Canned 7/2/20; drank 7/12/20 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dull orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a small off-white head; decent lace.

Heavy coconut nose, bordering on suntan lotion; hints of pineapple & strawberry too.

Creamy, medium mouthfeel. Coconut & vanilla way out in front, again approximating suntan lotion; mild notes of pineapple & strawberry are in the background.

If executed perfectly, this would be tropical bliss, but the coconut & vanilla dominate & make this average. Maybe if they took out the coconut entirely, this would have hit the mark.

Completely mind blown. I was intrigued by the “banana” reference, but the combo of other flavors puts this in another league. Aroma is pineapple and coconut. Taste is like a Caribbean sunset. I need to be on a beach pronto. Tropical wonder.
