Canned 8/4/20; drank 8/13/20 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dull orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice off-white head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Honey, orange peel, mild pine & faint peanut butter notes in the nose.
Thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Honey & orange peel flavors up front; mild cream, faint pine & faint peanut butter notes on the finish. As this warmed, booze heat emerged.
Just...too much, here: it's sticky and sweet and dry and boozy. It's not awful, but it's too many things at once.

I haven’t gotten excited about a triple IPA in awhile as I tend to get overwhelmed by the booze to REALLY love them. Knowing this was the triple version of Double Grid had me intrigued though as that’s one of my favs from HB.
Looking at it, it’s a deeper orange than normal Less head than normal too. I love the color though. A very pretty beer. The smell is phenomenal as well. So much ripe sweet fruit. There’s booze, but not as much as most triples. On the pallet as well, there’s tons of fruit sweetness with a nice bitter balance. The booze is there but very subdued for a triple. It will be more present than a double though. As always it’s super smooth, creamy and full bodied like all their IPAs. Overall, this is the best triple I think I’ve had. I like the doubles more and my high score is more in comparison for the class than overall favorite beer score. Definitely worth getting again.

Canned 8/4/20 “Fistful of Dollars” printed on the bottom.
Artwork references The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, which appears to be an homage to Sergio Leone’s films, and their classic soundtracks by Ennio Morricone (RIP).
Pours a dark orange, touch of brown. A finger of foam and some lacing.
Aroma is insanely tropical, like pure nectar. An amped up dosage of jackfruit gives a strong Juicy Fruit gum impression. Sweet pineapple.
Jackfruit, pineapple, sweet mango nectar, light herbal resins in the background. Sandalwood, mild greens. Creamy texture, soft and supple with sweetness upfront balanced somewhat by a mild herbal bitterness in the middle. Overall it’s intensely tropical and pungent, nice in small doses.

This one is a triple version of Double Grid. This was creamy and tropical with some sweet citrus in it. Lots of pineapple and orange. It also has some dankness to it. Very smooth and hides the alcohol very well. Has a dry earthy finish with a touch of bitterness at the end.

This is a Triple IPA w/ Citra/Mosaic pellets, cryo, and incognito. Sounds like this is gonna be saturated in Citra/Mosaic goodness. Supposed to be a triple version of their Double Grid DIPA. Two days fresh at time of review.
Pours a full haze deep, rich, darker orange color. Slight amber hue. Finger and a half off-white head that sticks around longer than expected given the 10.5%.
Aroma is extremely sweet and very fruity. Orange candy, clementine, ripe pineapple and mango, lychee, ripe peach, bubblegum, cotton candy, floral, orange pith, sweet pine. Vanilla wafer, dough, and candied sweetness round out the hop aromas. Twinge of booze as it warms. Doesn’t smell like this one will have any bitterness to it at all.
Taste is orange gummi, pineapple and mango sorbet, ripe lychee, cantaloupe, papaya, ripe peach, cotton candy, orange pith, grapefruit peel, floral, slight herbaceous dankness, sweet pine resin, vanilla wafer, dough, some bubblegum from the yeast. Touch of booze on the finish as it warms, but adds a much-needed drying element to quite a sweet beer. Very light bitterness, but wish there was more to balance it all out.
Dangerously smooth for 10.5%. Low full body. Soft, super creamy, chewy, oily, sticky.
High expectations for this one and although it is still an amazing brew, I wish it had a bit more balance to it with some elevated bitterness and green hop qualities. This one definitely leans more Citra than Mosaic for me. Still thoroughly enjoyed this one and interested to see what a week or two does to this one.
