16 oz. can. Clear deep golden. Smells of caramel malt, grapefruit, a bit of booze. Tastes of grapefruit, pine, sweet caramel, light pine bitterness. Medium heavy. It isn't anywhere near as boozy as I expected. Barely an IPA and not the most flavorful, but surprisingly approachable for a huge beer.

Had this on tap at Iron and Glass. This one comes in at 10.5% and it taste like it. The alcohol burn is pretty prevalent. Beneath the alcohol you can pick up some berries and citrus. The fruit flavors hit first but are quickly taken over by the alcohol.

Porous and electric orange slightly hazy. Has a one finger, fluffy white head. Very little carbonation. Leaves great lacing.
Tangerine and grapefruit on the nose. Some caramelization and mold is well detected.
Very balanced for a Triple, but tons of hop an malt. Melon, grapefruit, tangerine, onion, garlic. Great malt backing. Pine resin and good dank.
Big mouthfeel with dank ness abound. Better sip this one at 10.8%.
Another wonderful Hop Butcher.

Although it has enough turbidity that you can’t see through it, it doesn’t look like a traditional hazy IPA to me. It’s definitely a cross between a West Coast and hazy. Drinking it I get the same with a nice balance between the two. Like all their triples, I can taste the booze but it’s still smooth for a 10.5% beer. This is so fresh and I’ve found that the triples do taste better with a couple of weeks age on them to smooth them out. I like the grapefruit pith hop bite to it. Overall the beer is great but I think I’d go with their Greener Moss over this. Worth picking up again if you’re looking for a great triple though.
