I got a tall boy can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a hazy golden with thin white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had dank tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base with honey do melon and guava presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

So when is this haze going to lift? As the fatigue of hazy ale leaves the palate bored, tired and uninspiring, a roar comes out of Hop Butcher for the World.
Lightly silted and laced in a pastel light gold, A Roar of Colors builds a creamy ivory froth before teasing the senses with a citrus, tropical and herbal scent from Rakau, Riwaka, Galaxy and Mosaic hops. Initial sips of vanilla wafer, agave, cereal, shortcake and honey pull from the grain sweetness and provide a pillowy malt upstart.
Developing hop flavors bring a starburst of passionfruit, papaya, pineapple and mango with more citrusy flavors of tangerine, white grapefruit and lime for a radiant hop display on the middle palate.Trending malty-dry and smoothly bitter, the hops trail into a slightly more than balancing bitterness with remnants of citrus and tropical fruit pulp at its core.
Spicy with gin-like botanicals, the slowly fading grain sweetness leaves the session malty-dry, bitter-sweet and lingering with a medium-length hemp, spruce and green tea aftertaste.

Received as a gift from @Danmullens1! Can date: 5/24/23. Poured into a teku.
L- Ridiculously hazy.
S- Tropical fruit and some hoppy notes.
T- Very well balanced. Ripe tropical fruits:
grapefruit, papaya, mango but a
noticeable hop bite.
F- Very fine carbonation pairs well with
an incredibly lush mouthfeel.
O- A winner! I wish I could find their
product here in SEPA! Maybe it’s
better that I have to rely on

Has a dreamsickle orange hue, no real head.
Real strong juicey fruity notes.
Guava grapefruit and peach. Also good pine notes.
Smooth silky feel, chewy and balanced I think.
If this was my jam i would buy regularly while available to me.

And another one! (from @FBarber's glorious pile of midwest madness during NBW BIF #13)
This'll get the people going. Chalky pale orange that seems like it will be exactly what a lot of people are looking for. This isn't even hazy, it's just straight up opaque. Maybe a finger of whitecap that sticks to the sides of the glass in a lovely manner, and retains a little fuzzy presence, even after resection.
Nose has citrus and tropical fruit characteristics, and is certainly within that targeted juicy realm. Guava and orange and maybe a touch of starfruit and peach.
Flavour is less pronouncedly sweet than the aroma, but it still has that ribbon of elderly fruit at its core, wrapped with impressions less distinct of tropical fruits and faint citrus. Certainly carries that dry-hopped-type character, but doesn't come across quite as chalky or sedimental as some of the other hazy heavy hitters I've tried can carry.
Body is moderately inoffensive with a dense carpet of carbonation and a subtle but lingering green bitterness that is a welcome component.
I always have a hard time rating these. Hazies are not really my preferred expression of IPAs, and so I always struggle when trying to balance my personal preferences vs the style's ideals and the brewers intentions, etc. In my ignorance, I am a bit surprised that this is not more well heralded within the hazy context... it is a really well put together beer that seems like it would tick most of the boxes I thought people wanted out of the style, from a relatively welly regarded brewer of the style. Going in blind, I would have expected ratings on here to be a good bit higher than they are. If you're into the hazy stuff, definitely give this one a shot as it is really well crafted and enjoyable to drink, even for this haze-denier.
Thanks Frank for sending it my direction and letting me experience the roar!

This one had some sweetness to it but it was a bit too sweet. Lots of bright pineapple and peach in nose and at the front of the taste. There was a light peach taste that lingered a little bit at the end. Okay but a touch too sweet for me.

Canned 3/8/21; drank 3/12/21 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange/yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a huge white head; frothy tree-rung lace.
Fresh soap, cream, grapefruit & dry wheat notes in the nose.
Creamy, medium thick mouthfeel.
Lemon & cream flavors up front; grapefruit & dry wheat notes on the finish.
Not my favorite NE IPA flavor profile, but this came together well. I'd have another...

16oz can, dated 03.08.2021, poured into a stemless wine glass.
The beer pours a very hazy and turbid orange color, amber hues with a foamy white head, nice height, moderate retention and a few areas of nice lacing. The aroma is nice, super dank and grassy, earthy, a little weed skunk, lime citrus, citrus peel, tropical fruit, sweet yeast and bready malt. The flavors are nice, lime citrus, lots of dank weedy earthiness, pot skunk, wildflower, pine, sap, raw hop leaf, super green with some underlying orange citrus and sweet yeast while there is a touch of booziness that comes out with pale dough. The mouthfeel is good, coating, lively medium body that finishes with a nice dry and warm bite.
Verdict: A nice IPA from Hop Butcher, super green and earthy with an interesting lime tanginess. Perhaps a little boozy for a beer of its size, but the earthiness is a nice contrast to the lime profile.
