One of our favorite things to do at Hop Butcher is take a beer that rocked the party before and crank up the volume on it. Hand-selected Citra and Amarillo paint the picture on the wonderful canvas that is our hazy Triple IPA recipe. Hope y'all dig it.

Hazy light OJ. Big tropical and citrusy hop aroma and flavor; juicy and lightly warm from alcohol notes. Good balance. Medium to full bodied and creamy smooth with a light warm finish. Tuesday nights are for triple IPAs and taxes.

S - Aroma is mango, guava and dank hops.
T - The taste is papaya, mango, pineapple, guava, candied orange and a light bitter hop bite.
M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a soft prickly finish,
O - Really like this, but definitely on the sweeter side.

Too sweet and fruity. I could smell some fresh hops on the pour and was hoping for more hop in taste but it's mostly pineapple orange and grapefruit sweet. Bitter is there on the finish but it's not compelling me to lift the glass again. I guess I'm tired of hazy fruit smoothies.

An incredibly powerful mix of hoppy and bitter tastes for this triple grapefruit IPA. Like sipping grapefruit juice with 10.5% ABV

Appearance is turbid and hazy golden orange. About a finger of a ultra creamy eggshell white head, dissipated to a thin film fairly quickly. Decent lacing on the edges.
Nose is fantastic. Bursting with tropical fruits and zesty citrus. Some subtle pine and a bit of soft herbal, green dankness. No precursors to hop burn or intense bitterness.
Taste follows the nose with candied tropical fruit and citrus up front. Middle of the palate I get the piney, somewhat floral bitterness. Nice grain/malt character on the back end. The dankness I was getting on the nose, albeit subtle, did not translate to the taste. The 10% is masked incredibly well when cold. As expected, a bit of booziness came out once it warmed up. Make no mistake about it - this is a sweet triple IPA. The bittering is soft and subtle. Even though I usual prefer a bit more balance
Mouthfeel is super soft and smooth. Full bodied, to be expected for 10%.
Make no mistake about it - this is a sweet triple IPA. The bittering is soft and subtle. Even though I usual prefer a bit more balance in TIPAs (and I have come to expect it from Hop Butcher), I dig this for what it is. It is deliciously fruity. Hands down would buy again. Can was about 4 weeks old; I imagine in the first week or two there may have been some astringency and hop burn but none of that was present when tasting.

poured from a 16oz glass into a stemless wine glass. pours a hazy orange with almost three fingers of fluffy white head. pithy orange on the nose. taste follows with an ample amount of hop burn / bitterness. there’s a touch of pine but this drinks like a citra bomb to me. incredibly full and creamy mouthfeel. this one’s tricky. at first it doesn’t drink like 10.5% but as it warms and opens up it gets a little more alcohol tinge to it. and not that i don’t enjoy that, but maybe the trick is to drink it quickly while it’s cold.

Canned 6/6/22; drank 6/17/22 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dull orange/yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big off-white head; decent lace.
Guava & fresh ganja notes in the nose.
Thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Guava, grapefruit & sticky ganja flavors; booze heat emerged as this warmed.
Over the top & sorta unpleasant; not one of HB's finer moments.

Hazy dark orange, opaque and saturated color. Thin layer of foam has a creamy texture, lasts for a couple minutes.
Jackfruit aroma, Juicy Fruit gum, sweet and tropical overripe fruit.
Taste also has a bit more sweetness than I can tolerate in a NEIPA. Tropical syrup, mushy mangoes and jackfruit purée. Mild earthy bitterness in the aftertaste.
Creamy smooth feel, substantial and full bodied. Really nice texture here, hope it was achieved by natural means.
Overall this was drinkable though a bit sweet. Slow sipper due to the double digit ABV. Thanks to Bill for this one!
