This one was a little strange. With the hops this one uses I thought for sure it would be another Hop butcher winner. But it was not. It wasn't bad, but it fell short of expectations. There was a citrus taste that dominated the other flavors and was really strong. The bitterness at the end was nice but more balance was needed.

16oz can, dated 05.18.2021, poured into a stemless wine glass.
The beer pours a very hazy and turbid orange color, amber hues with a firm and taut white head, good retention and excellent lacing. The aroma is pleasant, bitter pine, grapefruit peel, dank and grassy hops, very earthy with a bit of floral qualities, orange juice, mineral water and pale dough. The flavors are good, bright orange and pineapple, bitter citrus rind, pine, resinous and sticky hop, amply bitter, grassy, dank, lightly floral with pale dough and sweet yeast. The mouthfeel is good, coating, sturdy medium body that is lively and very dry at the finish.
Verdict: A nice IPA from Hop Butcher. There is a nice bright orange juicy quality that helps balance this beer but on the whole, a very bitter and earthy experience that is contrasted with a sweeter and doughier malt experience.

Canned 5/18/21; drank 5/23/21 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big off-white head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Mango, grapefruit & dry ganja notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Dry grapefruit & faint orange soda flavors up front; booze heat notes on the finish.
This looked & smelled better than it tasted; not one to track down.
