16 ounce can into a snifter. Canned 6/7/21, had 1/6/22.

Pours near black and opaque, with a quarter inch head of darker foam and thin foamy cling. Aromas of almonds, chocolate, coconut, vanilla, malt. Flavors of coconut, chocolate, malt, vanilla, light almonds. Smooth, a little creamy, a solid full body, appropriately carbonated.

Shows a big almond nose, while the coconut pops in the flavor. Like all Hop Butcher stouts, it delivers on what it promises- all the add- ins show well. Very enjoyable.

Hop Butcher is all over the place and their IPAs have a huge following. I was stoked to get a hand on one of their rare stouts in Mobula. This was my first stout from HB and it delivered. There are big chocolate and almond flavors present and the sweetness is inherently different, almost like coconut sugar. It still holds on to the roasty and malty characteristics of a good stout. My favorite HB beer so far.

Can from flat_lander.
Really nice. All adjuncts meld nicely for a great dessert stout.

Canned 6/7/21; drank 7/11/21 @ the Yarchives.

Midnight black appearance.

A rough pour yielded a HUGE dark tan head (careful pouring!); strong, frothy lace.

Granola bar, coconut & chocolate syrup notes in the nose.

Thick, sticky mouthfeel.

Coconut, chocolate syrup & granola bar flavors.

Syrup-y & too sweet; it's drinkable, but not one to track down.

Deep black pour with a huge malty, coconut nose. Sweet start with a more bitter finish. The flavors almost work against each other, pretty good overall though. The alcohol is definitely present too. Nice feel, smooth and velvety. Really nice beer.

This one had a ton of almond in the aroma and taste. Lots of chocolate too. The coconut was more subdued than I had imagined. All of this was good but it was just a little too sweet for me

Dark brown pour and black when settled in the glass. Brownish orange foam had a delayed reaction, first barely active then threatening to spill over suddenly. Four fingers of foam quickly settled to nothing after a couple sips, no lacing.

Aroma is the best aspect, intense toasted coconut and chocolate, like a liquid Almond Joy bar. Slight hint of booze, far more subdued than the taste.

Taste is boozy, sweet chocolate syrup and toasted coconut. On the sweeter side, with a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. Full bodied and syrupy, low carb, noticeable bite from the alcohol. Overall this was fun to try, though probably best shared. Thanks to Bill for this one!
