Strata, Nelson Sauvin & Amarillo- hopped Double India Pale Ale.

It's hard to believe we haven't blended Strata with Nelson Sauvin with Amarillo in a hazy DIPA before, but it's true. Well, until now.

A new HB and I couldn’t pass it up even though I have old HB to drink in the fridge. I’m glad I got this one though. It’s one of their better ones. It’s soft and full bodied as always. I love the balance of sweet and bitter hops. HB does it better than any other Midwest brewery for sure. You can smell the dank hops and you get a nice balance on the tongue as well. As always the alcohol is super well hidden. They’re starting to taste too similar sometimes for me, but this is worth buying again for sure.

I tried a can of this beer that my old hockey buddy...aka...Nikki Sixx....brought to the party whilst participating in a Pucks for Autism Tournament outside of Chitown. It poured a hazy golden in color with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had bright citrus fruit and peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with slightly sweet malt base and tropical fruit peel spice highlights. The moithfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Canned 6/14/21; drank 6/18/21 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque yellow appearance.

A rough pour yielded a big white head; a thick curtain of lace.

Lemon, orange peel, cream & mild dank ganja notes in the nose.

Creamy medium mouthfeel.

Lemon & cream flavors up front; orange peel & dank ganja notes on the finish.

A nice balance of sweet, tart & dank; well above average for the style.
