Back at the beginning of 2021, the HB crew put their heads together on what we wanted to get done throughout the course of the year. There was a lot on that list, from hop combos to styles we've never released before to staking a flag in the ground on our own, physical location - and beyond. One of the weirder-in-a-good-way hop combos that came about was Meridian and Simcoe, which we're finally unleashing on all y'all next week with Indie City, aptly named in honor of our Portland-based friends at Indie Hops who grow all of that good-good Strata and Meridian and bomb Chinook and Centennial and - you get the drift. Cheers, Matt! Cheers, Jim!

Dented pint can as a result of a porch pummeling from @fbarber canned 6.22, opened 8.24

“Located in your heart”

Tasting notes : juicy citrus, tropical notes , pleasant dank

Pours a translucent golden liquid in a handbell pint glass with occasional carbonation streams , one finger white foam settles to a ring , spotty lacings

Aroma is tropical fruits, juicy citrus as advertised

Taste is tropical fruits, juicy citrus and a pleasant dank finish

Medium sudsing , almost creamy , hop nibble on the front of the tongue

Good beer, thanks Gritty

Served from the can in a mason jar.

Burnham going strong, let's hit up some Hop Butcher. This stuff pours a partly cloudy sunset brass topped by over a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises pine resin, grapefruit zest, grass, light white bread, and vague stone fruit. The taste brings in more of the same, along with a bit of lemon peel and some stronger grass. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a slightly drying finish. Overall, a solid IPA, not quite as strong as HB's other work, but something pretty easy to drink and enjoy.
