This beer is compliments of FBarber. Thanks, good friend.
I'm not familiar with the Talus and Nectaron hops used in this beer (along with Simcoe), so this was a unique taste experience. And this is a double IPA in which the hop flavors are not a muddled mess. I got grapefruit on first blush followed by stone fruit and tangerine rind in the follow up. A very good DIPA.

Maybe the least impressive Hop Butcher beer I’ve ever had. Maybe it’s the hop combination. It’s got a weak hop forefront and a metallic aftertaste with a bit of a dankness. Okay, but for an Imperial IPA from Hop Butcher, not ver good.

16oz can, dated 08.02.2021, poured into a stemless wine glass.
The beer pours an orange color, amber and copper hues, cloudy but not quite hazy with a foamy white head, two fingers with good retention and excellent lacing. The aroma is nice, dank and grassy, lightly piney, floral, big berry fruits, apricot and peach, cantaloupe melon and pale dough. The flavors are good, lots of melon fruit, apricot pit, berry jam, wildflower, grassy and dank hop, earthy and bitter, somewhat piney with pale dough and mineral water. The mouthfeel is good, coating and lively medium body that finishes crisply with an extremely dry bite.
Verdict: A decent IPA from Hop Butcher and Horus. It's not my favorite combination of hops, as this skews heavily into the berry and melon realm which when balanced by an extremely dry and earthiness, doesn't work as well for my palate. That being said, the alcohol is masked very well and it remains very sessionable.
