Hazy orange, ample foam, spotty lacing.
Sandalwood and eucalyptus aromas.
Resinous dandelion greens and citrus peel flavors.
Medium bodied, creamy texture, ample bitterness.
Overall a solid collaboration with equal parts Hop Butcher & Half Acre.

I am loving this collab with two of my favorite breweries in Chicago. It’s not quite as pretty as the hazies from Trillium or Tree House, but the smell and crucially the taste are world class for me. I love the higher bitterness here. When HB goes wrong, it’s bc it’s too sweet for me. This dials that back quite bit, so I love it. It has a nice full body and soft mouthfeel as always. When if their better ones in a long time for me. If I can find another 4 pack, I’ll get it.

Canned 9/1/21; drank 9/6/21 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big white head; a frothy curtain of lace.
Grapefruit, ganja & dry grass notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Grapefruit & fresh ganja flavors up front; dry grass & faint cream notes on the finish.
A bit too dank & bracing; it's good, but it's a bit over the top.

Collab between Hop Butcher and Half Acre. Very experimental IPA from two breweries that excel in that very category. Per the brewery: Layering in flavor from all directions: hand selected Amarillo mash hops, Citra Incognito in the whirlpool, @phantasm.nz to start fermentation, a mixture of Citra and Simcoe T-90s and Cryos, @omegayeast Cosmic Punch crunching flavors, and Citra Spectrum - a next generation liquid dry hop.
Lots going on with this one. White grape skin, passionfruit, ripe navel orange, tangelo, orange peel, yellow grapefruit, ripe mango, guava, kiwi, pine resin. Definitely see where both influences come in: both of them love to experiment with hops, but this one seems to have more of the Half Acre malt base and the drier, more bitter finish with the Hop Butcher juiciness up front. Outstanding.
