They say that you can't go back home, but they never took the tastebuds into account. Hop Butcher... hits all the right chords to send the palate right back to the nostalgic moment when we first experienced Citra hops.
Carefully woven together with Citra, El Dorado and Motueka hops, Sweet Home immediately comforts the senses with candied orange, tropical fruit, stone fruit and spucy aromas. As soon as its creamy white froth settles the first sip of smooth and creamy wheat, cereal and honeysuckle create a soothing softness in an early malt profile. Hops abound as the middle palate draws out a fresh tangerine flavor with a background of white grapefruit, passionfruit, kiwi, gooseberry, lemon and peach. Trending spicy with a smooth hop bitterness, suggestions of spruce tip and verbena give a light botanical gin character in finish.
Light, easy drinking and smooth, the ale is almost too easy to drink, effortless and mild.

Pours a very hazy straw color with a fluffy white head that leaves a ring around the edges of the beer and big splotches of lacing. Looks great in the glass.
The nose features passion fruit, papaya, tangerine, some peach, and a bit of pine, and that’s exactly where the taste lands, with the tropical fruits taking the lead. Delicious hazy.
The mouthfeel is medium and very soft, almost watery. Hop Butcher does this style exceptionally well, IMHO.

ONE PINT can
Served in a stemless wine glass
This beer pours pale yellow and is turbid. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves nice lacing.
It smells old and malty. It's not that old. I have had much older IPAs that smelled way better. Slightly fruity.
The taste is almost all malt as well. I get a little tropical fruit.
Medium bodied with a smoot mouthfeel
Not my favorite at all

Yellow in color with a very hazy complexion. There’s a half inch of frothy off white on top. The aroma is of lime and lemon hops. I’m tasting lots of lime and lemon hops. The mouth is very smooth and quaffable.

16oz can. Poured a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, white off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, guava and caramel. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.
