The bluesy era of no onions has been replaced with extra onions. While on one is crying over Hop Butcher's name-only suggestion of the teary-eyed vegetable, their Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin and Simcoe hopped hazy IPA suggests that there's no crying in beer bars either.
Deep and burnish orange, Mo' Onions rises with a creamy white froth and a fruit-forward perfume of tropical fruit, citrus, stone and vinous fruits along with a soft herbal backbone. Sweet with shortcake, cereal and hints of honey, it's grain influence is creamy before turning racy with hops. A starburst of mango is chased with orange and apricot before leaning into white grapefruit, pineapple and peach. All wrapped in an aura of grape and lychee, the session turns brisk with a surprising dry, crisp and bittersweet finish.
While no actual onions were harmed in the making of the beer, it's clear that these hops have been entirely Butchered.

I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a hazy orangish with thin white head that is leaving some nice lace. The scent had dank tropical fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright and sweet tropical fruit medley presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

The pour was, for lack of a better fitting word, murky. Once it settled in the glass under a manila one finger head it looked much better; an opaque and dense looking NEIPA orangeish gold. (Look ma, I'm making up colors!)
The aroma was milder than expected but I did get whiffs of faint dry citrus (Grapefruit and it's peel like) and some stone fruit, like peach or apricot. Or maybe the color was taking my mind there, not sure. It was nuanced.
The taste is definitely the best thing about this beer - solid and deep with waves of aforementioned dry citrus, stone fruit (why does cantaloupe come to mind?) and not quite bitter hops to keep it from turning into a fruit drink. Very well balanced.
The feel goes back to the murk - it is almost like it's less filtered than unfiltered beers, but no actual particles do I find. Just a curious, but not unpleasant feeling.
OA, glad to be able to try this, and *very* glad there were no onion flavors!

I can't see a canning date but within the past 2 weeks
Consumed 11/30/21
Based on the can art, I assume this is similar to their Kielbasa King hazy (which I like) so I had to pick this one up too. This one seems super juicy and full bodied as their best ones do. I gave a taste of it to someone who doesn't drink beer and she thought it was pretty good. I think that speaks to the style of beer that is so easy to go down. It's a little sweet I would say. I think 1 can is plenty for me. Definitely worth picking up again though.
