16oz can, dated 06.06.23, poured into a 16oz tumbler glass. Enjoyed on 06.20.2023, reviewed from Tasting Journal.

The beer pours a very hazy and turbid golden straw color, looks like brothy orange juice, foamy white head with good retention. The aroma is nice, dank, skunky hops, weedy, very green, very earthy, bitter citrus peel, bright tropical melon with sweet yeast and pale grain. The flavors are good, super bitter and earthy hop, green, grassy, dank and skunky weed, somewhat floral, piney, citrusy, melons and tangy stone fruits, lots of dough, sweet yeast, and mineral water. The mouthfeel is nice, thick, chewy, coating, hefty medium body with a very full finish.

Verdict: A nice IPA, super earthy, green, and dank. Pungent, expressive, but very heavy and filling.

On tap at Sabatinis in Exeter Pa late this afternoon. Thick dark orange body with a decent white head which leaves thick rings of lacing. Strong aroma of oranges and tangerine which translates to the taste. Has a nice bite to it in the finish. My first beer from Hop Butcher, hopefully not the last.

Somewhere between one and two fingers worth of fluffy light khaki colored froth... Rock solid retention... Gobs of lacing cling to the sides of the glass... Color is a hazy light to medium gold... Nose of orange, grapefruit and some light pungent notes... Flavor profile is much more earthy and pungent with no citrus notes... Medium bodied with a rich, fluffy and luxurious mouthfeel... Lightly carbonated... really nice and slightly unique beer... I wasn't too familiar with motuekas hips, but this one has made me quite curious...

Part of a mixed box from @Danmullens1!

L- Extremely hazy, murky dark gold color.

S- Spicy aroma.

T- Quite tart upfront, dry finish.

F- Tannic and dry mouthfeel. Delicate
carbonation.

O- Based on my aspect grades, this beer is
better than its individual components.
A good one but not great!

Gold in color with a very hazy complexion. There’s over an inch of creamy dense off white on top. Moderate, soapy lacing
. The aroma is of green veggies. I’m tasting exactly what the aroma suggested: Earthy, green and bitter veggies. The mouth is smooth.

Pours a brilliant glowing opaque orange color, Thick, velvety white head forms on the beer before dissipating leaving lots of sticky lacing and a thin residual layer of foam on top of the beer.

Aroma has notes of pineapple, orange juice, mango, and some fresh oregano. Really bright and lively.

Taste follows the nose with notes of pineapple, orange, mango, with some light herbal, grassy and fresh oregano coming in from the hops. Mild bitterness with a slight woody character.

Feel is full bodied, smooth, and sprightly. Mild carbonation.

Overall this is a really nice beer. The flavors are working so well and it is a joy to drink.

Pours a hazy pale yellow color with smaller white head from aggressive pour, it falls slow to a lingering cap. Leaves some good spotty lace though.

Aroma is tropical/citrus more specifically mainly pineapple, lemon grass and tangerine bright hop forward nose.

Taste is little different tropical fruits some lighter citrus notes but the hop bite is more a herbal/grass mixture then citrus rind bitterness. Taste is like the nose as its bright crisp pretty good lingering bitterness also, as the beer warms do start to pick up citrus rind bitterness also.

Mouthfeel is lighter medium fairly peppy.

Overall not bad little IPA.
