Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops take the lead here. Vic Secret hops in the third spot adding complexity. Mosaic adds a finishing touch to the previous three hops. All on a pillowy mound of malted oats and malted wheat. Tavern Cut meets Kielbasa King.

Super cloudy gray-hued orange with a thin finger of off-white head that settles into a film-like cap that leaves thin sheets of lacing.
Light nectarine, peach and white pepper show first in the nose. Hints of white wine, cut grass and jungle, too, as it warms.
Creamy orange juice and grass in the taste.
Thick, creamy feel with soft, tight carbonation.
Nothing offensive, but no pop either. I’ve had amazing beers with these particular hops; this falls short. Another middle-of-the-road NEIPA, IMO. 2/18/25 packaging date.

Aroma is very pungent dank/citrus and a hint of grains/malts. The flavor is fruit, malts/big grains, a small hint of soap and a slightly sweet/very spicy/tropical hop finish.

On tap at Donnelly’s Public House in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a fairly hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like mango, pineapple, white grape, and orange.
This has just a tiny bit of bitterness, but that does help balance this out, as it’s extremely juicy, hazy, and creamy. There’s lots of orange tangerine, mango, pineapple, all that good stuff.
This is very creamy, but very drinkable, with a smooth clean finish.
I couldn’t drink too many of these, but it was enjoyable.

Obviously your first sip will tell you you're drinking an above average IPA, however it still exudes the same Sabro tasting notes usually found in most brews concocted by this brewery, and yet Sabro wasn't even used! This brewery is dangerously close to becoming the next Revision Brewery, despite having a higher base line. I just ask for more variety regarding tasting notes when it comes to the offerings from HBFTW in the New England IPA realm

Aroma: Strong aromas of orange, grapefruit, pomelo, white grape, orchardfruit, pear. (4.50)
Flavor: Strong and creamy flavors of grapefruit, pomelo, white grape, berries. Some hints of pear, but a berry sweetness. (4.25)
Feel: A very soft and creamy body. Well-carbonated. A very soft and creamy mouthfeel. (4.50)
Compared to Brewing Projekt Terminal IPA 5/20/22: Pours a lighter color. Stronger aromas. More citrus, pomelo, grape, and pair. Less tropical orange and mango. Lighter and cleaner. Winner: Terminal
Compared to Hop Butcher Chicagohenge 5/27/22: Pours slighltly lighter, larger head. More green, citrus, grape, pair, dank green. Less juicy orange, pineapple, and sweet grape. Similarly sweet, but balances it more with the citrus. Winner: Tavern King
Overall: A very well-crafted NEIPA here. More complex than I expected. It has some great orange citrus, pomelo, white grape, and berry notes. Some dense berry sweetness, but enough citrus to keep it light and clean. An excellent body. For any other brewery this is world-class haze. For Hop Butcher, this is par for the course. (Rating: 4.29)

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of resin, orange, grapefruit and toasted caramel. Nice tropical fruit sweetness with caramel, toffee and bitter pine.
