Citra, Nelson Sauvin & Sabro- hopped + Phantasm Double India Pale Ale.
A new one we're calling Corn Cob Towers (because it ain't Chicago if you don't have two towers that look like corn cobs) brings the heat in the form of Citra, Nelson Sauvin and a touch of Sabro, but then we doubled down and rocked Phantasm into this mix as well.

Interesting combination of ingredients. I had never heard of Phantasm before and am really not familiar with Sabro hops either. To my unsophisticated palate, all I noticed was a good Hazy IPA that featured tropical fruit and a little cocoanut along with a touch of dankness and very mild bitterness. Very drinkable and quite tasty. Medium sized foamy white head with good retention and lacing. Crisp and medium rich mouthfeel and interesting flavors

12/08/2025. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Hazy gold with 2-finger white frothy head with good retention and draped lacing.
S: Aroma with strong citrus including tangerine, red grapefruit, and orange with passionfruit and lemongrass and light coconut.
T: Flavor dominated by Sabro creamy coconut and lemongrass. A little bit of tangerine in the finish and aftertaste. Bitterness is low. Esters are fruity and expand the flavor’s sweetness.
M: Soft and creamy full feel with mild carbonation.
O: Delicious hazy DIPA with strong Sabro in the flavor. Enjoyable but you better like Sabro hopping.

Pours a very hazed gold/orange with a thumb of cream colored head. Nice lacing & above average head retention
S: Plenty of citrus, some tropical fruit, fades a bit as this warms
T: Sweet oranges, limes, powdery dryness up front. More dryness, bitter orange & lime, some green melon & grapefruit as this beer warms, just a little pineapple sweetness as well. Finishes dry with grapefruit, lime & bitter orange
MF: Medium body, creamy carbonation, good balance
Drinks easy enough, but I do prefer these a bit sweeter

Pours a very hazy orange color with a creamy oatmeal colored head that provides significant lacing. The nose is ripe citrus, including tangerine and pineapple, a bit of weed, and a smidge of coconut. Very interesting.
The tangerine and pineapple are forward on the taste, with a bit of that dank weed flavor and just enough of the coconut to avoid being cloying, and a nice oat sweetness at the back of the palate.
Delicious stuff, but I enjoy Sabro hops. If you don’t, this could be a challenge. The mouthfeel is medium and on the softer side. This is my second beer from these guys, and I am a fan.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on October 15, 2022. A hazy double IPA brewed with Citra, Nelson Sauvin, Phantasm and Sabro hops. Cool label art, decent beer.

Canned 10/10/22; drank 10/18/22 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dull orange/yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big off-white head; strong, frothy lace.
Dark ganja & lemon peel notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Dank ganja, lemon peel & mild sweaty sock flavors.
Almost like a wet hop IPA, this takes dankness to an unnecessary level. Drinkable, but barely.
