First, there was DUN DUN DUN. Then, we amped up the drama by adding a fourth DUN. Now, we dial down the ABV, but keep steady the flavors and aromas on an idea we've floated in our conscious for a couple years now - a hazy pale ale with just one DUN.

16oz can, believed to be dated 03.14.23 (smudged can date), poured into a 16oz tumbler glass. Enjoyed on 03.26.2023, reviewed from Tasting Journal.
The beer pours a turbid and hazy golden color, straw hues, foamy white head that has good retention and nice lacing. The aroma is pleasant, bright citrus, wildflower, dank weed, earthy green hop leaf, pine, dough, and sweet yeast. The flavors are good, lots of dough and pale grain, mineral water, sweet yeast, bright citrus juice, bitter grapefruit zest, earthy pine, dank green weed, grass, herbal tea, and a lingering floral quality. The mouthfeel is good, coating, thicker medium body, smooth, creamy and chewy finish that is slightly dry.
Verdict: A nice hazy pale ale from Hop Butcher. Lots of citrus and floral qualities while still offering a good bitter and earthy counterbalance.

Pours out a super murky and turbid orange with about 2 fingers of a super soft, ultra creamy white head.
Nose is phenomenal for a 6% ABV hazy. Bursting with peach/mango, pineapple, passionfruit, and zesty orange/tangerine. Some green vegetal dankness.
Up front on the taste I get stonefruit and ripe tropical fruit - peach, pineapple, and passionfruit. From there it quickly transitions to being heavy on the vegetal dankness. There's no hop burn but this has a super green presence. Finishes out quite dry and low-medium bitterness.
Mouthfeel is super soft and pillowy. Body is on the thinner side for most Hop Butcher IPAs/APAs but for 6% its appropriate.
To me this is a solid single APA, although the nose is far better than the taste IMO. And that's not a knock on it, just goes to show that the aroma is world class. I like the dryness and bitterness on the finish, but the vegetal greenness is a bit much. It has that tomato vine character. Wish there was a bit more fruit character on the palate to balance it.

Pours a fully opaque golden orange color with three fingers of a dense, fluffy head that dissipates slowly and leaves some nice glass lacing behind. Definitely looks the part of a hazy pale ale.
Aroma is ripe tangerine, apricot, pineapple tidbits, juicy mango, passionfruit, and some earthy vegetal notes. Little vanilla wafer and dough from the malt.
Taste is ripe passionfruit, tangerine, orange peel, dried mango, floral, slight papaya, and earthy pine. Little dough from the malt. Stays quite dry throughout with a dry and nicely bitter finish.
Medium body. Soft and fluffy, yet has an ample carbonation that, in tandem with the dryness of the beer, make this one very drinkable and refreshing.
I've steered away from Hop Butcher's double and triple IPA's, as they're just too sweet for what I prefer nowadays, but I'll gladly still pull the trigger on their pale ales and single IPA's, as they tend to be a lot less sweet. This one is very enjoyable.
