16 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Canned 4/19/23, had 4/30/23.
Pours a hazy yellow orange, with a one inch creamy foam head and a good amount of foamy lacing. Aromas of orange, light lemon and melon. Smells grassy and a little dank. Flavors of orange, lemon, malt, a little grapefruit, some pine, a fair amount of hop bitterness, especially on the finish. Tastes a little dank and grassy. Smooth, fairly dry, a very good lighter body, well carbonated.
Has a really good flavor, and there’s lots of orange, as promised. Appreciate the hop bite, too.

I find Hop Butcher to be a brewery I go back and forth on. On the one hand, I’m not sure I’ve ever had a bad beer from them. On the other hand, the differentiation from hazy to hazy is really minimal — same look and feel on every one of their 7.5% or 8.5% beers, same sweet note on the taste, with some hop variety around that delightful sweetness. I’m bored by it at times and then will look forward to trying a new or familiar offering.
This one fits the bill both for good and bad.
Same beautiful, glowing, hazy, cloudy, juicy orange-gold fluid with a robust head of bright white foam and excellent lacing.
Pure sweet citrus juice on the nose, bright and vibrant and saliva-inducing. Nice green dankness plus a kiss of powdered sugar and candied grapefruit rind. What’s there is delightful, though lacking depth, and it’s a bit muted versus other similar offerings. Maybe the drawback of a single hop focus?
Taste pops with a little more gumption, and the mix of different citrus juices is really fantastic. A full dose of juice sweetness but not in a cloying way, and each sip actually finishes fairly bitter and pithy. Herbal and piney and green in the right ways. Damn tasty, though kind of what I expect from HB hazies (plus a little extra).
Luscious and silky feel that coats just right. Maybe a touch thin.

Canned 4/19/23.
L: Pours a hazy deep yellow with a fluffy white head. Upwardly mobile bubbles visible, not often seen in hazies. Nice irregular rings of lacing.
S: Aromas of berries, melon, and citrus. Not picking up any weedy dankness.
T: Berries and melon up front, some citrus in the middle, and the dank weediness reveals itself in a big way on the back end. Finishes slightly bitter and dry, but mostly just dank and weedy.
F: Medium mouthfeel, with appropriate carbonation.
O: Nice transitions from berry to citrus to dank. The surprising late weedy flavor is pleasantly unique.
