16oz can. Can bottom stamp is 'PKG 6/28/23 SIOUX CITY Sarsaparilla'.
Cloudy, straw colored body. Two fingers of puffy white head. Scattered spots of lacing.
Aroma of pine and spruce boughs sitting on fresh orange and coconut juice.
Taste is restrained but still full and dense. Citrus orange and pine resin bitterness balance in the sweet and bitterness. Light orange crush in the aftertaste.
Slightly thicker than medium mouth feel, with a touch of stickiness. Although the flavor profile is bitter, there is no burn. Good carbonation.
Well balanced and an excellent exemplar of a West Coast IPA that allows bitterness to be a prominent component.
