16oz can, dated 07.05.2023, poured into a 16oz tumbler glass. Enjoyed on 07.14.2023, reviewed from Tasting Journal.
The beer pours a nice bright golden color, very hazy and turbid, honey and straw huies, foamy white head with good height, nice retention and stripes of lacing. The aroma is super dank, grassy, herbal, weedy, piney, resinous with a nice bright floral quality that brings out tropical fruits and orange citrus with lots of sweet dough and yeast. The flavors are good, big bitter pine, very herbal and grassy, green, dank, weedy, lightly floral with white grape and light tropical citrus, sweet yeast, hearty pale grain and mineral water. The mouthfeel is good, coating, thick medium heavy body, smooth and creamy with a full but dry finish.
Verdict: A nice hazy IPA from Hop Butcher. Very, very earthy and green, super dank and bitter but with a nice balancing element of bright fruits and floral qualities.
