Pours a dense juicy yellow. Aroma is bright berry and citrus. Upon the tongue, there is less to this than expected. There are definite notes of citrus and hints of grape. It doesn’t go anywhere though. This could really use some sharper notes to highlight these flavors. The potential is there, but there’s to much wash and not enough bite. Overall, very drinkable, but could have been fantastic

 

 

Opaque yellow color with a substantial and lasting frothy white head with plenty of nice lacing. The aroma is citrus.
The taste is tangerine with a touch of grapefruit, lemon and white grapes, very juicy, mildly sweet. The finish dries out with some lingering citrus zest and pine, moderate bitterness.
The body is medium/full, good carbonation level, creamy smooth and very drinkable.
Altogether, this is a very tasty and refreshing IPA, although the flavor profile is simpler than some, it is very well executed, very enjoyable.

 

 

 

 

Pours a fluffy, turbid pale yellow. Totally opaque. Leaves a nice lacing, and at first hides the alcohol well. As it warms, the boozyness comes forward. The nose is fairly faint, and smells of straight citra. Strong carbonation for a creamy looking beer, it doesn't come over as creamy as I expected. Another great beer by HB, but maybe next time dial up the pacific sunrise so we can see its properties more?

Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (5% clarity) deep and dusky yellow color with a strong white head. SRM of 8. (4.25)

Aroma: Strong aromas of orange citrus, strong, aromas of orange citrus, Barry, medley, light, tropical, and floral notes.

Flavor: Strong flavors of orange citrus, white berries, pineapple, sweet grape some hints of pine. (4.25)

Feel: Medium-bodied, strong carbonation. Spritzy and clean on the finish. (4.25)

Compared to Hop Butcher Myriad of Pyramids 1/2024: Pours identical. Milder aromas. More citrus, pine, sweet grape. Less apricot and sweet berry.

Compared to Phase Three DDH Perpetual Sounds 2/2024: Pours lighter , stronger aromas. Less grapefruit and pine. More tropical berries and melon. More sweet, smooth.

Compared to Toppling Goliath Freak Friday Broccoli Special Reserve 2/2024: Pours similar, milder head. Stronger aromas. More tropical berries and sweet grape. Less citrus rind, guava, lychee. Sweeter and heavier.

Compared to Hop Butcher Mirror Ball 3/2024: Pours slightly lighter. Milder aromas. Less tropical pineapple and sweet blueberries. More green citrus, lime, green grape and zest. Less tropical sweet and slightly more spritzy and clean.

to Hop Butcher Preso Change-O 3/2024: Pours lighter , stronger aromas. Milder flavors. Less ripe berries, juicy pineapple, melon. More berry medleys, white grape and floral pine notes. Similar.

to Hop Butcher Lord Octopus 4/2024: Pours lighter, stronger head. Similar aromas. More orange citrus, green papaya and floral notes. Similar melon, but less blueberry. Lighter and drier.

Overall: Brighter with orange, berries, and a distinct sweet grape flavor. Even some hints of pine. Pacific Sunrise gives it a citrus zest. Drinks extremely clean. Subtle, yet complex. This is real nice. (Rating: 4.19)
