Mosaic, Motueka & Galaxy- hopped Double India Pale Ale.

Mo-Mo-Galaxy, if you will, on our main hazy Double IPA recipe. Ripe peaches, candied citrus and a touch of blue raspberry is what you should expect from this exciting hop combo.

Yellowish to light copper and very hazy with some moderate sized sediment within the body. There’s an inch of dense off white on top. The aroma is of citrus, lemon, and lime. I’m tasting melon and bitter grapefruit. The mouth is smooth and very easygoing.

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of grapefruit, orange, pineapple and sweet caramel. Nice tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. No date on the can that I could see.

Appearance: pale, light orange with ta thick haze and a head of pillowy ivory foam. The head has a really nice retention and lacing, as well, which I really like.

Smell: sweet and juicy with a hop note that is rather tropical and perhaps just a little bit stone-fruity. It's more of an earthy tropicality, more guava and papaya, and while it's not super bright it is quite alluring.

Taste: earthy tropical fruits with a bit of stone fruit as well; maybe just a little bit of melon flavor in the mix. It's a nicely complex mélange, and I'm into it. It is maybe a bit sweet for my taste, but it's a DIPA, so that's really not too surprising.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a really nice, smooth creaminess. Very good indeed.

Overall: absolutely solid hazy DIPA. Hop Butcher knows their stuff.

Pours pale gold, no real head. Straight cat pee nose, flavor is pretty good, very light.. as it warms the flavor gets more bitter and the boozybess comes up.

Aroma is citrus/fruit/tropical fruit and grains/malts. The flavor is fruit, malts, a small hint of vanilla and a slight sugar/candy/spicy hop finish.
