16oz can. Bottom stamp is 'PKD 4/23/24'.
Hazy, pale gold colored body. Two fingers of milky white head turns to an interrupted cap and residue on the glass.
Aroma travels beyond the immediate glass. Hop flavors of pineapple, muskmelon, lemon, orange, and coconut.
Taste is minimally sweet, with more emphasis on citrus pith. Flavors are more subdued than the nose. Flavors of lemon, orange, grapefruit, grass, and white grape. General meld lingers in the aftertaste.
More than medium mouthfeel, but with a tight finish. Bitterness level is low. Good carbonation.
Semi-sweet and soft.

6/23/24 - (Can - Home) (Chicago, IL) Can Notes: Purchased four pack refrigerated from Hop Butcher For The Work for $14.33 including tax. Refrigerated upon returning home until opening this afternoon. 16 oz canned (at the Bedford Park Facility) 4/23/24 @ 10:24:45, can stamp "We're Back Again!". 6.0% ABV, Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe & Nelson Sauvin-Hopped American Pale Ale. Tasting Notes: Candied Citrus, Juicy Tropical, Crisp White Grape. Brewed and Canned by Hop Butcher For The World in Chicago, Illinois and Bedford Park, Illinois. Artwork by Dan Grzeca.
Appearance: Poured all but a few ounces into teku glass. Bubbly egg white head lingers briefly before giving light clumpy lacing and razor thin cover over the turbid tan dark orange base yielding heavy sustained carbonation minutes in. 3.25
Aroma: Candied citrus leads, pineapple, tangerine and white grape follows. Light to medium strength, enjoying. 3.75
Taste: Stronger flavor than aroma, consistent attributes though with the tropical pineapple tangerine mix the strong leader, citrus backing and white grape from the Nelson Sauvin chillin' in the back. Nice. 3.5.
Mouthfeel: Sustained prickly carbonation adds depth to the light watery body. Drinks easier than the listed ABV, sweet overall though hops put up slight bittering fight. sweet tropical fruit citrus finish. 3.5
Overall: Very sweet, but still enjoyable for me. If you are looking for starburst like tropical fruit flavors, this one will satisfy. Will enjoy the four pack, but likely not a regular purchase when this returns. 3.5

Canned 4/22/24 (2 months ago)
Appearance: Pours a completely hazy, light to pale orange/yellow color with a strong white head. SRM of 7. (4.25)
Aroma: Strong aromas of orange, white grape, some stone, fruit, melon, and berry. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of orange, grapefruit, tropical, melon, berries, stone, fruit. Juicy. (4.00)
Feel: Medium body, strong, carbonation, finishes, juicy, and balanced. (4.00)
Compared to Hop Butcher Single Grind 6/2024: Pours lighter, similar head. Stronger aromas. More vinous grapefruit, pineapple, mango. Less peach cream and tropical notes. Dryer, cleaner, and more balance.
Compared to Fair State/Hop Butcher The 400 Club 6/2024: Pours darker. Stronger aromas. More grape, berries, tropical melon, and papaya. Less citrus, pineapple, passionfruit. Smoother, similar sweetness.
Overall: Promising hop combo with Simcoe and Nelson. Some grapefruit and grape notes from the Nelson, but also some tropical notes from the Simcoe and Mosaic. Nicely balanced and juicy. It's quite promising. I'm really liking how the Citra and Nelson balance the tropical Mosaic and Simcoe. Another great one from Hop Butcher. (Rating: 4.02)
